The Project
The homeowner wanted to reduce their electricity costs and make better use of the energy available from the sun.
With roof repairs already taking place, it was also an ideal opportunity to make use of the existing scaffolding and install the solar panels at the same time.
The system was designed around a relatively large 22-panel solar array spread across two roofs, supported by battery storage and a MyEnergi Zappi EV charger.
A FoxESS system was selected for its versatility and reliability, as well as its compatibility with the Zappi EV charger.
The installation itself was relatively straightforward, but the property only had a 60A incoming supply. A fuse upgrade was therefore required before the system could be completed, which meant waiting for the DNO to carry out the upgrade and approve the application.
The completed installation provides an integrated solar, battery and EV charging system designed to reduce electricity bills and make greater use of energy generated at the property.
The Challenge
Existing 60A Supply
The property’s incoming electricity supply needed upgrading before the new system could be completed.
DNO Approval
The required fuse upgrade meant the project was dependent on the DNO, resulting in a longer approval process than originally expected.
Large Two-Roof Installation
The system incorporated 22 solar panels installed across two separate roof areas.
Our Solution
Integrated Energy System
Solar generation, battery storage and EV charging were combined into one complete home energy setup.
FoxESS Technology
A versatile and reliable FoxESS hybrid system was installed to manage the solar generation and battery storage.
Smart EV Charging
A MyEnergi Zappi V2.1 smart EV charger was installed, allowing the homeowner’s EV charging to work alongside the new solar system.
