The Project
The homeowner was carrying out a major renovation and wanted to install solar panels and battery storage while the property was already undergoing extensive building work.
The aim was to reduce electricity costs and become less reliant on the national grid by generating and storing more energy at home.
The installation was completed in two stages. The solar panels were fitted in April while the existing scaffolding was still in place. Once the homeowner was ready for the electrical works in July, we returned to install the inverter and battery before commissioning the complete system.
With costs already mounting from a new kitchen and other renovation work, it was important to choose a system that met the homeowner’s needs without adding unnecessary expense. Sigenergy provided a suitable solution at a reasonable price.
Although the overall project ran over several months, the installation itself was straightforward. By coordinating with the other trades working at the property, we were able to progress the installation with as little inconvenience to the homeowner as possible.
The customer was happy with the completed system and the overall result.
The Challenge
Working Around a Major Renovation
The solar installation needed to fit around a new kitchen and wider building works already taking place at the property.
Phased Installation
The panels were installed while scaffolding was available in April, with the inverter, battery and commissioning completed later in July.
Keeping Costs Under Control
With significant renovation costs already mounting, the homeowner needed a system that met their requirements at a sensible price.
Our Solution
Making Use of Existing Scaffolding
The panels were installed in April while scaffolding from the renovation was already in place.
A Cost-Conscious Sigenergy System
Sigenergy was selected because it suited the homeowner’s requirements while remaining reasonably priced.
Coordinating With Other Trades
We worked alongside the other contractors at the property and scheduled the installation in stages to minimise disruption throughout the renovation.
