1 in 10 UK Adults say they would NEVER consider installing solar panels
‘Why not?’ I hear you ask.
Why wouldn’t they opt for alternative energy which will clearly save them money in the long term?
Well, the ‘why’ isn’t actually their fault.
Their reasoning has been skewed by the HUGE amount of solar misinformation out there.
A recent study completed by Utilita Energy, showed that 1 in 10 UK adults wouldn’t even consider installing solar panels at their home due to ‘The UK not being sunny enough’
Now forgive us for using the term but this is simply FAKE NEWS.
The UK is more than sunny enough for homeowners to greatly benefit from solar panels. In fact, the average solar panel system in the UK saves homeowners over 70% on their annual energy bills.
But not only that, the notion that solar panels don’t work in the winter is just plain wrong.
Now they are generally more effective in the summer due to the longer days we experience. However, their efficiency can actually suffer in those months due to high heat.
The panels themselves work on light, not heat and operate better in cooler temperatures.
Meaning a clear winters day could give you some of your best days of solar efficiency.
It’s misinformation like this which is holding back millions of Brits from making the switch that’ll not only help the planet,
But will also help their own bank account.
I mean, how much of a difference would it make for you to be paying less than 30% of your current energy bill?
I think it’s fair to say it would at least ease some financial pressure on yourself and your family.
